Les DRM, c'est bien beau pour limiter le nombre de lectures, mais si pendant une lecture on enregistre via un magnéto, ou mieux, on enregistre via un câble qui relie la sortie son vers l'entrée son d'un autre micro qui s'occupe d'enregistrer, est-on dans l'illégalité?

Voilà quelques années, j'avais décidé de convertir ma soeur à Linux.
Sa configuration :
PentiumII 233Mhz@64Mo de RAM
4Go de HDD
L'utilisation de son ordinateur se limitait aux petits jeux, donc l'argument que je lui ai sorti est qu'elle aurait accès à une vaste collection. À la suite d'une réflexion, elle a d'abord eu droit à une mandrake 9.1 avec un window manager léger (je ne me souviens plus trop lequel). Avec rpmdrake et la source contrib, le nombre de jeux installé est monté à une petite quarantaine, bref de quoi la distraire un bon moment. Ensuite, j'ai remplacé son wm par EDE, un environnement très léger windows-like, mais comme le menu avait presque disparu, j'ai du m'amuser à créer une icône sur le bureau pour chaque jeu enfin bon... Pour finir elle a eu droit à XFCE 4 et firefox car elle avait eu son accès internet.

Puis un nouvel ordinateur est arrivé, sans OS :
Pentium 3@750Mhz
64Mo de RAM
5Go de HDD
Sur les deux premiers Go, un windows tout léger qui s'est vu doublé son occupation mémoire à la suite de sa mise à jour et qui est devenu inutilisable. Sur le reste, une KNOPPIX avec KDE 3.1.Le système demeurait très lent, mais elle l'a utilisé très longtemps. Pour continuer, j'ai remplacé KDE par XFCE4 et firefox (pas très léger...). Encore une fois tout allait bien, le système était plutôt réactif quand elle utilisait pas le naviguateur. Ensuite est venu MSN Messenger. Pour ça, je lui files le premier client sous la main que j'avais : gaim et tout marche bien. Puis, dans un élant de je-ne-sais-quoi, la knoppix s'est vue remplacée par une sarge (et dire que j'aurais pu faire un petit coup de apt-get dist-upgrade bien placé pour éviter une réinstallation...) avec KDE 3.3. Au passage, repartitionnement : 1Go à Windows (version précédente, moins gourmande, mais beaucoup moins utile), et le reste à debian sarge. Comme d'habitude, KDE 3.3 + Konqueror, c'est très lourd pour 64Mo. Je lui avait montré windowmaker et elle avait aimé mais je ne savais pas par quoi remplacer le naviguateur internet. Et j'appris, lors de l'anniversaire d'opera qu'on pouvait avoir une version sans pubs pendant une journée. Opera était plutôt léger et rapide comparé aux autres naviguateurs. Elle est donc passée à WindowsMaker + Opera (et toujours gaim )et pour le moment tout marche à pars l'imprimante qui passe partout SAUF dans opera. Toutefois un problème subsiste : gaim est pas très light, il me faudrait un client msn très léger et plutôt simple d'accès (sans tous les trucs à la con de msn, juste les smileys standards, le formatage de texte, et pas de jabber au travers d'une passerelle(pour le moment)) et un naviguateur internet compatible et très léger.

Désormais, elle est entièrement linux et utilise jamais windows (même quand je lui ai parlé des conversations audio par le protocol msn)

Il n'y a pas très longtemps, j'ai découvert sur un forum[1], qui subit de nombreux trolls[2] opposant windows à linux alors que la question ne se pose pas à cause d'un seul membre source[3], une nouvelle catégorie d'utilisateur linux : les semi-linux semi-windows. Ceux-ci sont persuadés de la qualité de linux mais persistent à démarrer une fois sur deux sous windows "selon leurs envies". Ils s'appellent eux-mêmes les "neutres"[4].
Je ne pense pas que cela soit une mauvaise chose : la plupart des personnes qui ont un dual-boot et qui utilisent plutôt fréquemment windows finissent par lâcher alors que, ici, la fréquence d'utilisation stagne et devrait évoluer en faveur de linux. Qu'en pensez vous?

Une nouvelle version de qemu est parue hier apportant comme nouveautés la création d'image vmdk, le support IOAPIC, le support Virtual FAT en lecture seule et bien d'autres.
Néanmoins, lors de l'installation du module d'accélération, j'ai rencontré un problème : lors de la compilation j'ai le message d'avertissement suivant :

Dans ce cas, impossible d'utiliser l'ancienne version du module... Peut-être est-ce du au software suspend 2?

Voilà trois ans qu'une nouvelle version de Kobo Deluxe, le meilleur jeux libre qui n'ai jamais existé, n'était pas sortie. Ce jeux, étant une version très améliorée de xkobo a un principe révolutionnaire : le but est de détruire des bases ennemies en les touchant à leur unique point faible, mais dissimulé au travers d'une nuée de ramifications qu'il vous faudra éradiquer au plus vite. L'interface a subi quelques révisions mais la jeu en lui même n'a pas l'air d'en avoir eu. Sinon, j'ai un petit problème de ralentissement du jeu; quand on y joue comme ça on ne se rend pas compte, mais la musique était très ralentie. Une idée?

En me servant de ma souris sans fil, une idée m'est soudain venue : pourquoi pas faire des souris avec un deuxième capteur ce qui permettrait que la souris réagisse si on la pivote. Par contre faudrait savoir à quoi cela servirait... Quelqu'un a une idée?

Ayant déjà posté un journal sur le fais que mes XPs sont tombés en qq jours sans avoir posté de commentaires, qq jours plus tards, j'ai récupéré 6/6 Avis mais maintenant, n'ayant pas encore posté d'avis, c'est retombé à 0 sans pouvoir noter les commentaires.
A quoi cela est-ce dû? Pourquoi les Xps varient autant d'un jour à un autre?


(PS: SkyOS 5, ça a l'air bien même en beta mais c'est pas gratuit...)

Il y a 1 mois, j'avais 20XPs, après, j'avais 5/5 avis mais maintenant, je n'est plus rien d'affiché. A quoi cela est-il dû???


[PS:Pq grub me colle une Erreur 18 avec un BIOS de 1998 et un disque de 8Go???.La /boot ne pose pas de pbs étant située en début de disque mais une partoche windows située 5Go après la /boot.Pourtant lilo, XOSL... le supportent bien...]

Cher journal, comme je voulais essayer YOPER 2.0, j'ai rebooté sur une knoppix avec qtparted pour redimmensionner ma /home de 40Go en ReiserFS.
Lors du reboot de fedora(\troll{RuLeZ}) il commence à raller sur fsck et me met devant un prompt.
Je fais fsck /dev/hdc6 et ceci m'affiche qu'il faut utiliser fsck --rebuild-tree pour corriger les erreurs.
Je recommence et une heure plus tard, je vois 4Go de données dans lost+found et 10Go en moins dans /home!
Naturellement, c'était des documents importants et il manquait pas mal de fichier.
Conclusion:
->cfdisk /dev/hdc
->mke2fs -j /dev/hdc6
->mke2fs -j /dev/hdc3
->Install. de SuSE 9.0(\troll{RuLeZ})

Ce qui est bizarre, c'est que le redimmensionnement NTFS ne m'a posé aucun pb!

Je me pose une question bête: pourquoi on se plaint de la disparition du troll susesapusaipaslibre alors qu'il y a d'autre troll bien plus générique et vrai.

Avec le kernel 2.6 de mdk non préemptif, lorsque je compile un programme, le système n'est pas trop ralenti(chose exeptionelle avec un PII 300mhz 256Mo de RAM GeFORCE 4MX440). Mais lorsque je fait un solarwolf avec mozilla & gaim de lancé (sous KDE) parfois, le système se fige un dixième de seconde, temps suffisant pour me retourver éclaté devant un vaisseau ennemi.
Que faire?

J'essaye de faire une disquette de boot linux séparé en deux disquette qui peut s'amorcer en RAM avec 4Mo de RAM,au boot,il plante lors du chargement du RAMDIS alors qu'il avait au chargement du noyau 2800K libres.Sinon,le RAMDISK marche avec + de RAM mais plante comme sans RAMDISK sur ash:
"-sh:Can't access tty:jobs control turned off"et il répète sans arrêt le même message en redémarrant ash.Quand je boote avec init=/bin:ash,c'est pareil.
