Kaffeine 0.5

Une demie année après la dernière version stable, kaffeine 0.5 (
Kaffeine est un lecteur multimédia pour kde basé sur xine) est sortit le 23.12.2004

Cette nouvelle version apporte pas mal de changements, notamment l'utilisation d'onglets. Son nouvel écran de démarrage [1] rend kaffeine beaucoup plus convivial, et la playlist intégrée permet de l'utiliser entièrement en plein écran.

New Features:

* Playlist: Artist, Album and Track column added. A list-box in the toolbar makes it possible to switch fast to another playlist. Remembers last played track. New queue mode: Select "Play next" from playlist context menu to add a track to the queue. After queue is empty, normal playback will be continued.
* New start window provides fast access to most important media sources.
* Network transparency: If given protocol is not supported by xine, the source will be downloaded via KIO system.
* New player features: jump to time, mute, fast forward, slow motion.
* Support for xine's audio post-filters. With xine-lib >= 1.0rc6a you can use now the upmix plugin and the really cool stretch plugin.
* ASX import improved, rudimentary support for SMIL added.
* Use mouse wheel over system tray icon to skip to next/previous track.
* File dialog have now default filters for all common formats.
* Error dialog shows xine log as details.
* Fullscreen: double click switches to full screen, and middle click makes toolbars visible.
* Improved install wizard dialog checks the installation (xine-lib, DMA mode, etc.).

Fixed:

* Screenshots from anamorphic streams have an correct aspect ratio now.
* Distortion removed if user drags volume slider over 50%.
* URLs are passed to player without encoding. That fixes problems with the VCD plugin, special characters like '?' and '@' and password protected hosts.
* Made fullscreen mode working with fluxbox window manager.
* Font encoding of post-filter help dialog is correct now.
* Disabled KDE session management. Made a lot of problems.
