    Qd je fais ll /dev/video* , çà donne :
    lr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 11 nov 7 2004 /dev/video -> /dev/video0
    crw------- 1 guillaume video 81, 0 nov 7 2004 /dev/video0

      bonjour,
      a mon avis le problème est la :
      can't open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory
      v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
      v4l2: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory
      v4l2: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory
      v4l: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory

      deux solutions , la crade :
      su
      cd /dev/
      mkdir v4l
      ln -s /dev/video0 /dev/v4l/video0

      la propre : indiquer a xavtv ou est ton device

        J'ai essayé la version crade ( me disant que si çà marché je pourais toujours modifier ultérieurement... :)
        Voici ce que çà me dit:
        [root@localhost dev]# ln -s /dev/video0 /dev/v4l/video0
        ln: création d'un lien symbolique `/dev/v4l/video0' vers `/dev/video0': No such file or directory

        Pourtant j'ai créé le repertoir /dev/v41
        J'ai créé le fichier video0 à partir du script makedev (cf: http://www.trustonme.net/didactels/123.html(...) ) et voici ce qu'il me dit :
        [root@localhost Documents]# ./makedev
        *** new device names ***
        /dev/video0: char 81 0
        /dev/video1: char 81 1
        /dev/video2: char 81 2
        /dev/video3: char 81 3
        /dev/radio0: char 81 64
        /dev/radio1: char 81 65
        /dev/radio2: char 81 66
        /dev/radio3: char 81 67
        /dev/vtx0: char 81 192
        /dev/vtx1: char 81 193
        /dev/vtx2: char 81 194
        /dev/vtx3: char 81 195
        /dev/vbi0: char 81 224
        /dev/vbi1: char 81 225
        /dev/vbi2: char 81 226
        /dev/vbi3: char 81 227

        Voici ce que fait makedev :
        [root@localhost Documents]# cat makedev
        #!/bin/bash

        function makedev () {

        for dev in 0 1 2 3; do
        echo "/dev/$1$dev: char 81 $[ $2 + $dev ]"
        rm -f /dev/$1$dev
        mknod /dev/$1$dev c 81 $[ $2 + $dev ]
        chmod 666 /dev/$1$dev
        done

        # symlink for default device
        rm -f /dev/$1
        ln -s /dev/${1}0 /dev/$1
        }

        # see http://roadrunner.swansea.uk.linux.org/v4lapi.shtml(...)

        echo "*** new device names ***"
        makedev video 0
        makedev radio 64
        makedev vtx 192
        makedev vbi 224

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        Voilà je sais pas trop quoi faire peut etre reprendre tout depuis le debut avec une autre methode, peut etre que je n'ai pas installé tout correctement je sais pas si tu as lus le tuto que j'ai mis en lien mais tout n'est peut etre plus d'actualité... Bref je c pas trop domage c pas encore ce soir que je verrais la tv :)
        Merci de continuer à m'aider, çà fais pas longtemps que j'ai linux et j'en bave pas mal pour tout configurer....
        Ne me soumettez pas à la tentation de repasser sous windows, pitié :')

          >ln: création d'un lien symbolique `/dev/v4l/video0' vers >`/dev/video0': No such file or directory
          ca je comprend pas , si /dev/video0 existe et /dev/v4l existe
          cest pas normal.

          >Pourtant j'ai créé le repertoir /dev/v41

          tu as cree /dev/v4l ou /dev/v41 <-- /dev/v4UN ???

          sinon la methode MEGA crade :
          mkdir /dev/v4l/
          mknod /dev/v4l/video0 81 0
          chmod 666 /dev/v4l/video0
