Bonjour a tous

Je voudrais passer en résolution 1024x768 sur mon sarge (vesa).
Mais apres un dpkg-reconfigure xserver-free86 c'est toujours pareil, (800/600). :/
Comme c'est in ecran plat, je ne pense pas avoir besoin d'une resolution elevée. 60 ou 75 hz suffirait je pense.

    Comment peut on savoir quel configfile est utilisé XF86Config ou XF86Config-4 ???

    Peut-être ton écran TFT est limité à 800x600. C'est le cas de mon _vieux_ laptop.

    Pour ta question XF86Config, je pense que c'est XF86Config-4 qui est utilisé. Si tu veux être sur, tu renomme XF86Config en XF86Config_foo et tu relances X ... si ça ce passe bien, j'ai raison sinon, j'ai tort ... et tu rerenommes ton fichier :-)

      Bonjour,

      une des choses que j'ai remarquée sur mes débians est que le recours à "dpkg-reconfigure xserver" ne modifie en rien le fichier de configuration: il faut le faire à la main avec vim ou autre, ou utiliser xf86config dans un terminal root.

      je pense que c'est un bug ...

        re-bonjour,

        je voudrais rajouter que sur votre fichier de config, les résolutions 1024x768 n'existent pas , ce qui confirme ce que j'ai écrit plus haut

        c'est pas un bug !!!!

        en fait il faut lancer 'dexconf' pour qu'il te génère le fichier de config !

        sinon j'ai vu un paquet qui à l'air pas mal : xdebconfigurator, il a l'air capable de donner plein d'infos sur les cartes graphiques et écrans installés !!!

          nonon, c'est pas l'ecran. Il marche sous windows jusqu'en 1024.
          Mais il ya ce mode. Je pense que c'est moi qui ai rejouté le 1024
          Modes "1024x800" "800x600" "640x480"
          Mais ca devrait marché qd meme. C'est ds le color dept 24, dc le mode utilisé...

          Pfff, c'est un peu galere x a regler.

            C'est nickel. en fait le dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree ... ne crée pas le XF86config, eteffectivement il fallait mettre dexconf.
