comme le dit si bien snt, vmware ne devrait plus poser de probleme (en tout cas pas pour ce point ) c'était prémonitoire....
J'ai donc installé le kernel-source2.6.12.12 et vu la tartine qu'il m'a envoyé j'en déduis que la compilation a échouée, ??

Malheureusement, ca veut toujours pas passé (j'ai la mandriva 2006) mais ça avance quand même.
Je n'ais pas trouvé le kernel-header mentionné par frédéric, j'ai maintenant un dossier usr/src/linux-2.6.12-18mdk et j'ai un nouveau message
The directory of kernel headers (version 2.6.12-18mdksmp) does not match your
running kernel (version 2.6.12-12mdksmp). Even if the module were to compile
successfully, it would not load into the running kernel
Que puis-je donc faire, merci aux grands maîtres Tuxien qui me répondront...
