SAlut !

Voilà , j'ai rencontré quelques soucis lors de la reconnaissance par alsa de la présence des pilotes audio nforce proprio NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0310-pkg1.run.

J'ai fait l'installe sans problème (de la meme façon qu'avec les pilotes graphiques).
Mais impossible pour alsa de détecter le pilote nvidia; il configure donc le son de manière déplorable: je n'ai pas de son avec xmms, ni dans les jeux pour la moitié d'entre eux, et le son est vraiment dégradé...
J'ai aussi repéré lors du démarage qu'alsa n'avait pas pu trouver de périf audio.

Si quelqu'un a une piste je suis prenneur

    Pour t'encourager : j'ai une carte nvidia (K8N4-E Mainboard) et ça marche !
    Dans mes 1ere install j'ai voulu faire comme toi et ça n'a pas marché ... je suis peut-être trop nul ! et en plus j'ai une architecture 64bit.
    Finalement j'ai utilisé rpmdrake en ayant au préalable rajouté les sources plf, contrib et plfnon-free avec easy urpmi ( http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ )
    et au niveau son, je n'ai aucun Pb.
    Voici ma conf hard au niveau audio :

      Oups !
      J'avais pas vu que tu étais sous debian que je ne connais absolument pas (je suis sous mandriva 2006). Tu n'as probablement pas rpmdrake. Tu dois surement avoir quelque chose d'équivalent pour gérer les rpm.

        Yes, merci pour ta bonne intention :), finalement tu m'a peut être mis sur la voie car j'ai lancé un apt-get sur tout les paquets commançant par "alsa-*" :p.

        On verra bien ce que ça donnera mais en attendant si vous avez d'autrs idée ce sera bienvenue

    Je crois justement que ces pilotes n'utilisent pas alsa, mais oss.

    D'apres mes souvenirs, il y a possibilité de faire fonctionner le chip nvidia avec un driver alsa (libre).

    Quant à savoir lequel .... google est ton ami !

      pour les drivers audio nforce, il y a les modules dans le noyau, pas besoin d'installé les drivers proprio, apres avec apt get install alsa, tu t en sors nikel

        Bonjour

        J'ai une Asus avec un chip nforce2, le seul moyen que j'ai trouvé pour avoir du son c'est OSS/Linux, un soft propriétaire!!! aïe

        Mais bon c'est ca ou le silence radio!

        En tout cas ça marche nickel et il ya beaucoup de paramétrages possibles. Tu pourra tester ça en dernière possibilité. Seul problème il faut le reinstaller tous les 3 mois car c'est une sorte de démo (mais bon ca prend 5 minutes)

    Bon, là j'ai une asus azn8x-x, audio intégré.
    Le son fonctionne sous kde mais n'est pas opérationnel à 100/100. Je m'explique;
    Impossible de faire fonctionner par alsa, seul l'oss fonctionne [oss simple et threaded), je n'ai pas de son avec xmms mais noatun et xine fonctionne.
    Là ou cela devient problématique c'est lorsque je veux jouer à doom3, unreal quake4...
    Quake3 : le son fonctionne depuis que j'ai installé les drivers proprios
    Unreal tournament 2004: le son fonctionne que si je sui sen openal, mode low quality et sans mode software, de plus j'ai un grésillement strident et constant.
    Quake4 et Doom3, que dalle, il dit qu'il ne détecte aucun périph sonore.

    Si je fait un /sbin/discover, ca me donne : i810_audio

    Quand je fait un alsamixergui, il me met ça: funcion snd_ctl_open failed for default: no such device

    Quand je fait alsactl store, il me dit :alsactl: save_state:1194: No soundcards found...

    J'ai bien tenté avec modconf de virer le driver intel du son mais il réapparait à chaque redémarrage.

    J'aussi modifié le fichier modules.conf ds /etc afin de définir un unique périf audio utilisant nvaudio mais toujours pareil, de plus il me le remet par défaut après un redémarrage

    La modif que j'avai testé est celle préconisé lors de la config du pilote proprio d'nvidia

    If the distribution you are using provides a configuration mechanism for audio drivers, use it to select the nvsound driver module for use with the nForce audio device. Otherwise, manually edit the module configuration file.

    If your configuration file already contains an entry for the i810_audio or snd-intel8x0 drivers (open-source audio drivers that supports the nForce audio controller), that entry needs to be commented out with a # or removed:

    Add the following lines to the configuration file:

    Voilà c'est un peut gros mais je préfèrais en mettre le plus possible afin de comprendre ma situation actuelle.

      Je vien d'installer oss/linux, (le prog proprio sugéré par "cte truite" mais ce truc m'a tout bonnement viré tout le son que je pouvai faire sortir de ma machine !?!?

      Là c'est grave car même en restaurant mon fichier modules.conf, rien n'y fait...

          Qu'est-ce que tu as comme kernel?

          avant de l'installer il faut regarder si tu l'as compilé avec le paramètre REGPARM d'activé.
          Il faut avoir les sources du noyau dans /usr/src/linux (fais un lien symbolique)
          ensuite tu télécharges OSS/Linux tu l'installes et tu lance ./bin/soundon et ca devrait marcher.

            mon kernel c le 2.6-8-2 ou 2.6-8-2-386. Au passage , je ne sait pas lequel des deux est "actif".
            Sinon je pense que ta soluce était alternative et je reste persuadé qu'il y a bien une autre méthode que d'aller installer ce prog ?

            Alors moi je n'ai pas de rep /usr/src/linux mais plutôt /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.8-2-386

            Je doit créer un lien symbolique pour /usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.8.tar.bz2 et le faire pointer vers /usr/src/linux ? (linux sera un rep ou le nom du lien ?)

            Sinon, pour recompiler avec le parametre REGPARM c'est oss ou le kernel qu'il faut recompiler ?

            Excuse moi d'avance pour les questions bêtes mais là je suis un peu perdu :)

              place toi en root dans /usr/src

              fais un
              "tar jxvf kernel-source-2.6.8.tar.bz2 "
              puis crée le lien
              "ln -s linux-2.6.8 linux"

              ensuite il faudrait savoir si ton noyau natif est compilé avec REGPARM, pour cela recherche la chaine de caracteres REGPARM dans le fichier
              /boot/config
              ou /boot/.config

              tu aura soit
              # CONFIG_REGPARM is not set
              soit
              CONFIG_REGPARM=y

              telecharges le bon fichier suivant le cas apres tout devrait aller je pense

              mais oui en effet il doit exister une alternative libre puisque le chipset nforce est apparemment supporté par le noyau contrairement au nforce2. moi j'avais du son nativement mais c'etait pas top : il y avait que deux enceintes sur 5 qui crachaient
              ou alors 4 sans le caisson de basses enfin bref le BORDEL!!! ;)

                Et bien je n'ai pas de fichier /boot/config mais seulement un /boot/config-la-version -du-kernel (soit config-2.6.8-2-386 et plein d'autres car j'ai du installer plusieurs kernels :p )

                J'ai tout de même tenté un ./config-x.x.x.x-xxx mais il n'était pas executable, je l'ai donc mis executable mais rien n'y fait, aucune des réponses qu'elle était censée indiquer n'apparait pas.

                (Pour le ln par contre c'est bon ; enfin je croi).

                Autrement, moi c'est du nforce2, il est supporté pour le bureau et les applis de base mais très mal sur unreal 2004 et pas du tout pour les autres jeux...

                D'ailleur sur le jeux ID (quake4-doom3) j'ai cette erreur quant je lance par la console :

                Pour le jeux quake3, ça marche comme il faut (mais c'est quand mm un très vieux jeux...)

                Pour unreal 2004 j'entend le son mais cela grésille atrocement et lorsque je change les paramètres de son dans le jeux ,ça me fige tout...

                  apparemment pour quake4/doom3 il te faut les pilotes proprietaires (ceux dont on parle)

                  --> J'ai tout de même tenté un ./config-x.x.x.x-xxx mais il n'était pas executable...

                  il ne fallait pas le rendre executable c'est un fichier texte simple, ouvre-le avec un editeur et cherche la chaine REGPARM
                  ou alors dans la console

                  "cat /boot/config-2.6.8 | grep REGPARM"

                    (Je suis bète, à tète reposée je m'aperçoit de ma stupidité en ce qui concerne le config-x.x.x.x-xxx .)
                    Sniffff, mon kernel n'est pas compilé avec REGPARM.
                    n'y a t'il VRAIMENT pas un moyen à peine plus simple pour faire marcher le son ?
                    Je sais pas moi, une modif bète et méchante dans un fichier de config ? Que sait-je ?
                    Si il faut recompiler le noyau, ça devient carément galère, car je veux juste du son moi :(
                    .Et puis quand on manque de temps c'est pas évident.

                    PS: je finirait par le faire si je n'ai vraiment pas d'autres solutions.....

                      Je crois que tu n'as pas compris!!!

                      tu as deux telechargements possibles avec et sans REGPARM.
                      je t'ai cherché le lien direct pour un noyau 2.6.x sans REGPARM

                      http://www.4front-tech.com/release/oss3994a-linux-x86-v26.ta(...)

                      decompresse et installe-le

                        Merci pour ton tuyau mais cela m'a encore fait supprimé tous mes modules son de modconf...
                        je vais abandonner cette méthode d'ailleur je ne me rapelle même plus comment j'avait restauré mes enciens paramètre....

                          D'accord essaie avec les modules du noyau pour voir ce que tu obtiens

                          mais c'est normal que ca t'enleve tout le contenu de modconf (mon fichier modconf est entierement vide et je n'ai aucun module son de chargé : OSS/Linux s'occupe lui-meme de decharger les modules noyau)

                          quand tu fais l'installation de ce soft, il y a un test son si tu entend quelquechose c bon!
                          tu dois etre en root pour l'installation

    Je n'arrive toujours pas à résoudre mon problème, je m'arrache les cheveux depuis deux semaine et je ne sais plus comment faire; ce serait vraiment cool si quelqu'un avait déja eu un problème semblable, car en plus du problème de son dans les jeux, même les son de kde m'envoient des erreurs aléatoire...
