Hi,

Thanks for your answer. It seems that currently, the description is only:

descr: Static pool (Freebox)

But I think you have checked that before. Is that description not clear
enough on the fact that every one in this range has a static address ?
Or the fact that it is a pool is not in line with your policy?

However, I would like to stress that since 2006, every subscriber has
its outgoing connections on port 25 blocked by default. You can have a
look at
http://postmaster.free.fr/index_en.html#probleme_d_envoi_depuis_free to
see that they recommend officially not to unblock the port, unless we
are hosting a mail server. This setting is NOT available on the router
itself, we need to authenticate in our customer account on the Free.fr
webpage, so a spammer cannot easily unblock it for a whole range.

It can obviously happened that some people unblock their SMTP port just
to send spam to everyone, but then, it's easy to hire a VPS or low-cost
dedicated server to do exactly the same thing. So the presence of those
ranges in your DUL is just annoying for legitimate servers.

Please let me know if you can change this situation from your side. In
the past, the official technical contact from Free.fr wrote this:
http://www.journaldufreenaute.fr/outils/nspy.php?post=35636 It's in
French, but the last paragraph roughly says that: "They refuse to handle
requests for single IPs. Their tools do global stats on AS. I've just
managed to make them ignore some entries in their tool. Go back to the
previous state would simply lead to block the whole AS, including
official SMTP servers from Free, which is not what we want."

If your tools has evolved since 3 years, I'll be happy to contact my ISP
to make the change.

Kind regards,
