bonjour,
j'ai installer les drivers nvidia hier sur ma mandrake 10 et tous s'est passer sans probleme mais losque je demarre linux il plante a l'ecran bleu ou sur le bureau sans enlever la fenetre de presentation de kde.
j'ai verifier le fichier de configuration de xfree sur windows avec explore2fs : il est bon mais un autre fichier qui porte le meme nom avec un ~ derriere.

que faire ?

    vas dans
    cd /var/log/

    puis ls il y a ici les log d'erreur de xfree, mais en plus il me semble que c'est xorg mais bon. lis les et corrige le probleme.

    en plus il me semble qu ils n'y a pas de probleme, a part le fond de kde sur ton ecran, du coup pourrais tu etre plus précis sur ton probleme en utilisant des phrases simple, sujet + verbe + complement

      quand je demarre l'ordinateur sous linux , il plante au lancement de kde : la souris bouge mais rien ne reagie.
      je voudrait essayer ta solution mais je ne sais pas comment demarer en mode texte

      j'ai reussi a les trouver avec explor2fs mais je ne vois rien !
      je te les poste au cas ou tu vois quelque chose..

        Visiblement les drivers ont été correctement installés, la carte est bien détectée et Xfree se lance normalement. Par contre, à la fin de ton fichier de log, il y a ça :

        Ca semble indiquer que quelque chose fait une requête pour arrêter le système ou le mettre en veille.

        Dans ton log, il y a aussi deux warnings, peut-être qu'en les corrigeant ça résoudrait ton problème.

        A priori cette option attend une valeur chaîne, il faudrait corriger cette ligne dans le fichier de configuration de Xfree. Je ne sais pas à quoi ça peut ressembler, poste ton fichier de configuration si tu ne vois pas quoi faire.

        La carte graphique n'arrive pas à lire les paramêtres de l'écran. Je pense pas que ce soit forcément gênant, mais tu peux toujours essayer de désactiver la détection en ajoutant cette ligne à ton fichier de configuration :

            Je dois dire que là, je vois pas trop... :)

            Bon, déjà tu peux supprimer la ligne Option "XkbOptions" "" dans ton fichier de config, ça t'évitera d'avoir le warning dans ton log.

            Ensuite, le plus simple je pense c'est de désactiver l' ACPI et/ou l'APM pour ne plus prendre en compte les appels de mise en veille. Je pense qu'il doit s'agir d'un problème du driver Nvidia quand même, vu que ça marchait avant. Et puis en lisant le Readme.txt du driver il disent qu'ils ont intégré un "début" de support pour l'APIC, donc je subodore que ça vient de là.

      bien bien, tu apprend vite :) petit scarabé, maintenant pour eviter de redemarrer sous windows, quand ton X est planté tu devrais pouvoir faire: crtl + alt + F1 pour avoir une console en mode texte. Pour editer un fichier il faut utiliser un éditeur spéciale, il s'appelle 'vim', pour ecrire il faut appuyer sur la touche 'Ins' et pour quitter et enregistrer tu appuie sur echap puis ':wq' donc tu fais: vim tonfichier

      pour redemarrer X comme un barbare tu peut aussi faire: ctrl + alt + bakspace

      sinon pour ton probleme, dans ce long fichier xfreeconfig il y a une section "device"

      et a la ligne driver il faut ecrire:

      driver "nv"

      si c'est deja le cas ecire

      driver "nvidia"

      puis quitter (:wq) et faire ctrl + alt + F7 la redemarrer comme un sauvage X voir ci dessus, mais il me semble que mandrake fourni le drivers nvidia, donc tu ne devrais pas l'installer mais bon c'est formateur :), je ne peut pas helas t'aider plus.

          D' aprés ce que je peux voir Xfree n' as aucun probléme.
          Cherche plutôt du coté de kde .
          Essaye une session gnome pour voir. Sinon déplace le dossier .kde de l' utilisateur ailleurs ou renome le , et relogue toi sur ce compte. Il y a de fortes chance que ça vienne d' un conflit dans ce dossier, en faisant ça tu réinitialise cette partie.
