Bonjour :)

J'ai un ordinateur portable, un inspiron 8600 : écran 16/10e, résolution 1680x1050.
Je voudrais m'acheter un autre écran LCD 19" de résolution 1280x1024 à priori.
Ma carte graphique est une nvidia geforce fx 5650go.

Est ce que sous linux, il va m'être possible d'avoir kde qui fonctionne sur ces deux écrans, avec leurs résolutions natives ? (un lcd avec une résolution autre que sa résolution native, c'est crade :/ )
Je voudrais bien entendu pouvoir passer d'un écran à l'autre juste en faisant glisser la souris, comme on peut le faire sous windows.

J'ai entendu parlé de xinerama, de twinview, etc.. mais je n'ai pas pu trouvé la confirmation que ca fonctionne.
Que ca soit compliqué à mettre en place, ca c'est pas grave, du moment que je sais que ca peut marcher, c'est parfait ! :)

    J'ai deux écrans CRT 17" en xinerama (Geforce Ti4200, driver Nvidia propriétaire, KDE 3.4, X.org) et ca marche très bien en modifiant simplement le fichier de configuration (xorg.conf)

    j'ai une Geforce fx4000 avec deux écrans.
    Cela marche avec twinview sans problême.
    Je te fais un copier coller de mon fichier de xorg.conf (ou xf86config) (il est pas très jolis mais il marche):
