Bonjour.
Mon portable du boulot est un Toshiba L40. Il tourne en double boot XP Ubuntu.
J'ai suivi ce tutoriel http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/atheros_ar5007eg et le wifi fonctionne. Cependant, au bout d'un certain temps d'inactivité, j'ai un joli crash, écran noir avec une série de messages que je retrouve dans le kern.log

Ça fait penser à un problème avec le WiFi mais le moment du plantage fait aussi penser à l'économiseur d'écran ou aux fonctions de mise en veille.
J'en suis là, n'ai rien trouvé d'exploitable via internet et vous serait reconnaissant d'un coup de main ou d'une piste qui m'aurait échappé.

I think someone did not think before packaging... The module shipped with the kernel seems to be 1.45 (dmesg | grep ndisw) but only >=1.50 has support for kernel 2.6.24 so what you need to do is to build the kernel module from source, works like it should here...
...and maybe bug the packager. Have not had time to do it or look if someone else has done it.

De plus les commentaires parlent de plantages à la connexion.
Je peux me connecter, tout fonctionne à peu près (sauf que je dois ré-entrer ma clé de connexion à chaque démarrage), puis, si j'abandonne mon ordi pendant, disons 20 minutes, quand je le récupère,plantage...
Il se prend pour Napoléon, son état empire.
