Salut à tous,

J'ai équipé mon PC (sous Mint 14.0) d'une clé USB WiFi TP-Link TL-WN723N. Celle-ci fonctionne correctement car elle voit bien les différents réseaux présents dont celui que j'ai activé sur ma Freebox Revolution. Le problème c'est que le mot de passe ne passe pas. Le système est d'ailleurs assez long à renvoyer sa réponse négative mais je me retrouve de nouveau avec la mire de connexion. Or ce même mot de passe est accepté sans souci depuis mon smartphone ou depuis le même PC sous Win7.

Une idée de par où chercher le début d'une solution ?

    Il nous faut des logs. Dans un terminal,

    sudo killall wpasupplicant; sudo wpa_supplicant -Dnl80211 -u -ddt

    (faire ça rapidement sur une seule ligne. Si ça marche pas, utilise la méthode propre:

    sudo service network-manager stop
    sudo killall wpasupplicant
    sudo wpa_supplicant -Dnl80211 -ddt -u
    sudo service network-manager start

    Et poste nous le résultat d'une tentative de connexion. Pense à enlever toutes les informations personnelles de la sortie si besoin.

        Faut lancer wpa_supplicant immédiatement après l'avoir tué¹. Immédiatement, c'est à dire sur la même ligne. Sinon, utilise la méthode propre.

        ¹ Le principe c'est que lorsque wpa_supplicant ne tourne pas et que NetworkManager cherche à l'utiliser, D-Bus va lancer wpa_supplicant automatiquement. Si tu le tue, il va se relancer automatiquement … mais le but c'est de lancer ta version avec des logs avant. La méthode propre, c'est de couper network manager avant de tuer wpa_supplicant.

            wpa_supplicant ne voit aucun réseau … Pourtant, tu nous dit que la carte voit ton réseau … Il y a quelque chose de louche.

            Est ce que sudo iw dev wlan0 scan dump liste des réseaux ? Et sudo iw dev wlan0 scan ?

      Je rajoute juste les lignes que tu me donnes et ça devrait fonctionner ?

      Que se passe-t-il si je laisse le câble ethernet branché en même temps ?

        si tu laisses eth0 branché, tu auras le wifi et l’Ethernet de connecté en même temps.Redondance mais rien de gênant.

        Sinon, sous X, tu peux installer et utiliser wicd qui te permettra de n'avoir qu'une seule interface connectée.

        L'avantage de la configuration de /etc/network/interfaces est d'avoir le réseau même en mode rescue!

        Oublie pas si tu peux de configurer aussi eth0 dans ce fichier ( les moteurs de recherches sont aussi tes amis) ;-)

          La manipulation a bien fonctionné quelques instants puis plus rien… Problème de résolution de nom, de fonctionnement de la clé WiFi ?

          J'ai redémarré le PC et même chose, pas de réseau.

          J'ai comme l'impression que la clé WiFi s'éteint. Si je la débranche et la rebranche, ça semble repartir.

          Que faire ?

            powertop dans une console root, onglet Tunables : vérifier que l'état Autosuspend for USB Device XXX (ta carte wifi) est Bad.

              Par ailleurs, j'ai cru comprendre en parcourant le web qu'il y a pas mal de problème avec le WiFi de la Freebox Revolution…

                Le wifi de la FB Révolution fonctionne bien me concernant avec un noyau pf-kernel 3.9.3, carte réseau :

                Comment je récupère le numéro de device ?
                En général tu as une description, de type "Network bg" ou bien l'interface réseau apparaît explicitement (wlan1 ou approchant vraisemblablement).
