Bonjour.

Je suis sous Kali et depuis hier je ne peux plus démarrer aucune session utilisateur en mode graphique, sauf celle du root. En revanche elles fonctionnent toutes en mode console dans le Ctrl+Alt+F1-6. Je sais que j'ai fait un apt-get autoremove avant de fermer ma session habituelle, ce qui ne devrait pas poser de problème (même si je ne sais plus ce qui a été supprimé), mais je ne vois pas ce que j'ai fait d'autre qui aurait pu m'empécher de me reconnecter par la suite … Après vérification, il reste 6Go sur ma partition et les dossier du /home appartiennent à leur propriétaires donc le problème n'est pas là. Sur ma session je suis sous compiz, mais la 2e doit être sous gnome (par défaut ça doit être ça, je l'ai créée après le bug pour voir si c'était JUSTE ma session ou toutes les sessions non-root) et mon root arrive à lancer compiz et ma config sans problème …

Concrètement, quand je me connecte sur une session, l'écran devient noir pendant une seconde avant de revenir au choix de session

Solution : Le problème venais du /tmp sur lequel les utilisateurs n'avais plus les droits, pour résoudre le problème j'ai juste eu à faire :

sudo apt-get install xorg # Je ne sais pas si cette ligne est obligatoire, mais au moins vous aurez un startx ;)
chmod a+rw /tmp/
chmod a+rw /tmp/*

    Peux-tu nous dire ce que tu as dans le fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

    Si tu as accès en console, tu peux aussi essayer de lancer startx en console et voir ce qu'il se passe en sortie.

      Je n'ai jamais eu startx, j'avais voulu voir si j'arrivais à ajouter le ctrl+alt+f8 quand j'ai eu kali et je n'avais pas la commande … je sais pas si gdm peux aider mais quand je fait un gdm3 j'ai ça :

          Je vais tenter d'ajouter les droit sur le dossier tmp pour voir …

          EDIT : ça marche \o/ Le problème était juste que je n'avais pas les droits sur le /tmp et/ou son contenu. J'ai juste eu à faire :

    car tu as peut-etre simplement supprimer les gestionnaires de fenetres des sessions gnome et compiz
    là ou root serait avec un gestionnaire.

    du coup tu rentres ton log/pass, ca cherche à lancer le gestionnaire de fenetre, ca ne le trouve pas, ca ferme et revient à la fenetre de login.

      Mon root est sous gnome, il est quasiment identique à la session test (a part que sont bashrc est modifié). Et oui, au début j'ai cru que j'avais supprimer quelque chose qui sert à compiz et que j'avais qu'a repasser sous gnome, mais finalement je pense pas puisque je peux utiliser compiz sous root avec la même config que le user.

      D'ailleurs j'ai essayer de remettre gnome via dconf, j'avais remplacer la valeur de "org.gnome.desktop.session.session-name" par "compiz", mais je ne l'ai pas quand je suis sur mon compte (je sais pas si c'est le fait d'être en console ou si c'est anormal), au lieu d'avoir 11 sous-dossiers à org.gnome.desktop je n'ai que background et media-handling
