Damien Sendras, auteur de Gnomemeeting, a décidé de tirer en avance (tricheur !).
« Many people have stated that they wanted support for the Skype protocol in GnomeMeeting. It is actually true that most people want something that works, not something that necessarily respect standards and eases interoperability.
I have been contracted by a big company to add support for Skype into GnomeMeeting. As a consequence, the client will become closed-source, but it will stay free (as free beer). Support for SIP and H.323 will be discontinued. Those protocols belong to the past!
GnomeMeeting 2.00 (Skype-based) will of course be 100% compatible with the original Skype, without any restriction and will even bring additional functionnality. »
