I have just written an academic paper on that Condorcet method that is sometimes called "Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping" (descente séquentielle de Schwartz insensible aux clones) or "Beatpath Method" (Chaîne de Victoires Gagnante), that is used by SPI and DEBIAN, and that is promoted at http://www.electionmethods.org(...)
In this paper, I introduce this method, demonstrate that it satisfies e.g. Pareto, monotonicity, resolvability, independence of clones, reversal symmetry, Smith-IIA, and Schwartz, and present an O(N^3) algorithm to calculate the winner, where N is the number of candidates.
