Forum Linux.général pourquoi Linux Mint 22.1 fonctionne tres bien en live et tres tres lentement en dur ?

Bonjour, gros problème avec linux mint 22.1 : Très lent à l'ouverture (5mn !) et de façon alléatoire, les fenêtres s'ouvrent vite ou très lentement ainsi que toutes les actions avec les clics de souris. ça se fait mais dans un temps parfois très long.
Chose étonnante, en live, tout se passe sans problème !
Peut-être avez-vous une idée de ce qu'il se passe ?

    Une raison pourrait être une différence dans la gestion de l'affichage. Quelques pistes en vrac :

    • Serveur graphique Xorg vs Wayland
    • Driver Nouveau vs NVidia proprio
    • Options d'accélération différentes
    • Éventuellement double stack graphique Optimus (chipset hybride Intel/NVidia)

    Autres pistes :

    • sur le Live, il y a une version donnée du kernel et du système. Pendant l'installation, il peut y avoir une mise à jour qui se fait, et un composant logiciel a un régression qui fait que ça marche moins bien que la version précédente ?
    • le BIOS est à jour ?
    • regarder dans les logs (dmesg, syslog)

    Désolé, rien de précis, mais si ça te donne une idée…

      Merci beaucoup… Mais comment savoir si le BIOS est à jour ? Et j'avoue ne pas savoir comment faire pour les "dmesg, syslog"
      J'avoue être un peu novice…
      Je vais taper dmesg, syslog dans le terminal et voir ce que ça donne.

        moui, tu ouvres une fenêtre terminal puis tape sudo -i (il te demandera ton mot de passe utilisateur) et tu peux lancer tes commandes en tant que root

        • dmesg t'affiche tout ce qui se passe lors du boot, tu verras s'il y a des erreurs ou des warnings
        • éventuellement journalctl -f t'affichera en continu ce qui se passe sur ton système, tu es bon pour ouvrir un autre terminal pour garder ce qui défile
        • le résultat de inxi -F serait intéressant pour voir ta configuration plus précisément (lancé en root cela donne la date de ton BIOS, de ton modèle d'ordi exact, de la vitesse de ton disque… des pilotes utilisés pour ta carte graphique…)

        bref, ça nous donnera des billes pour t'aider à investiguer

            En cherchant sur google l'un des messages d'erreur récurrent lié à l'accès à votre nvme, j'ai trouvé des échanges sur des forums de gens ayant des problèmes (un peu) similaires.

            Une solution proposée de manière récurrente serait d'ajouter :

            nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0

            dans les options de démarrage de votre noyau.

            Sinon la page des problèmes nvme d'arch pourrait vous aider à trouver des solutions.

            ya un souci avec ton disque : soit pas bien reconnu, soit défaillant.

            les entrées/sorties (I/O) en erreur que cela génére expliquent tes lenteurs sur disque et pas en live (qui n'utilise que ta mémoire et non le disque).

            essaie une autre distribution avec un noyau plus récent ou sinon on peut creuser avec les outils de gestion de disque : smartctl --all /dev/sda (tu auras peut-être à installer les smartmontools via apt install smartmontools). remplacer /dev/sda par ce que t'affiche df -h pour /

            tu as une doc' (un peu ancienne) sur https://www.malekal.com/smartctl-verifier-son-disque-en-ligne-de-commandes-linux/

            garde le journalctl -f qui défile, ça te donnera des infos complémentaires

              Où trouver une distribution plus récente ? J'en ai essayé 3 (dont une à l'adresse indiquée de Kernel) sur le site de Linux Mint.
              J'ai même essayé Linux Mint 21.3 avec le même résultat et Kubuntu 24.4, même chose…

                Pas certain qu'une distribution récente fasse l'affaire. Pour moi le problème vient du SSD. Si c'est bien le cas, de deux choses l'une : Soit il est mal branché ; en le remettant en place un peu « mieux » le problème sera réglé (à moins que ce ne soit une connexion défaillante hors de votre portée). Soit il s'agit d'un problème logiciel lié au fait que le matériel soit très (trop) récent ; le problème pourrait être géré via mise à jour des blobs internes (fwupd), ou des options de démarrage (pour éviter d'activer des éléments défaillants), ou finalement via un support matériel peut-être extrêmement récent (la piste de la distribution récente). Vu que vous vous êtes présenté comme débutant, je ne vous conseillerais pas forcément d'essayer d'installer Archlinux pour tester ; même si ce serait très formateur.

                  En tous cas son noyau 6.8 n'étant plus maintenu officiellement depuis plus d'un an (mai 2024), booter sur un noyau mis à jour et s'il le faut, changer de distribution, ne serait pas de trop.

            je pense que tu l'as arrêté trop vite, garde-le dans un terminal ouvert pour voir le comportement de ton ordi lorsque tu ouvres des applications ou que tu as des lenteurs de souris…

            tu devrais avoir plusieurs lignes qui se répètent lorsque tu lances des applications.

                celles-ci viennent du dmesg et non du journalctl qui en affiche des similaires

                mais pour l'instant mieux vaut diagnostiquer plus avant pour trouver des soucis similaires (et des propositions applicables plus facilement pour "corriger")

            Bonjour pour la perte de perf se sente c'est surement le ssd (nvme) surtout avec un i9

            voici les 2 cartes graphique, jusque la pas de probleme i915 c'est le driver pour la carte intel(dans le core2 i9)
            nouveau c'est le driver nvidia libre

            du coup il faut verifier dans Xorg.0.log qui est dans … /home//.local/share/xorg/

            avec ]$ cd
            ]$ cd .local/share/xorg/
            ]$ grep WW Xorg.0.log
            ]$ grep EE Xorg.0.log
            ]$ grep DRI Xorg.0.log

            DRI c'est pour Direct Rendering / DRI3 enable = la carte graphique est utilisée pour faire …le graphique
            normalement le resultat des grep est comprehensible meme pour un novice ;)

              ajouter les options nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0

              ça ne coute rien d'essayer (si ça plante, un redemarrage remet en état précédent)
              il faut au demarrage quand il y a la liste de choix linuxmint apuyer e (comme edit)
              et ajouter a la afin de ligne linux= /boot/liuzXX.gz root=xxx,xxxx nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0
              ……….
              hdparm sinon mais je ne sais pas si valable pour un ssd ?

    mais generalement en LIVE tu n'utilises pas le disque interne de la machine, alors qu'apres installation si

    comme dit plus haut il est possible qu'en LIVE tu ais des pilotes pour ta carte graphique, que tu n'aurais pas en mode "installé"
