Forum Linux.redhat Fedora 12, nouveau, et Xorg qui ne se lance pas

Bonjour à tous !

1re demande d'aide sur un problème épineux, que je n'arrive pas à résoudre.
Je suis passé il y a quelques temps de Fedora 10 à Fedora 12 et là ... c'est le drame. Pas moyen de démarrer une sessions Xorg. Par défaut il y a les drivers nouveau, ça ne marche pas. Les drivers binaires Nvidia, idem. Je suis donc repassé en drivers nouveau, avec l'intention de les faire fonctionner. J'ai également penser que ma carte graphique était défectueuses, à cause de l'apparition de caractères bizarres sur fond bleu lors du démarrage du PC (donc encore lorsque l'affichage est géré par le BIOS avant Grub): j'ai acheté une autre carte graphique, disparition des caractères bizarres mais toujours pas de Xorg qui se lance. Le pire dans tout ça, c'est que le log ne se plaint de rien !! Donc je lance un appel à la communauté linuxfr-ienne si quelques bonnes âmes ont des idées. N'ayant pas trouvé grand chose avec Google, hormis des options kernels à mettre mais qui ne changent rien au problème(nomodeset par exemple), je suis dans l'impasse. Sinon en mode texte le pc se porte bien, j'ai pu remettre bacula, sane partage mon scanner SCSI par le réseau, et l'imprimante est également partagée. Mais je déprime.

    je n'ai pas lu l'integralité du log (par flemme)

    mais je sais que malgré l'auto detection des peripheriques, certains drivers graphiques ont besoin de savoir à quelle carte ils s'adressent (si tu as plusieurs cartes ou plusieurs sorties par exemple).

    cela se fixe avec l'option PCI:X:Y:Z

      normalement le fichier xorg.conf devrait être optionnel.

      Au pire des cas, essayer la nouvelle fedora, elle sort cet après-midi :

      + essayer avec un livecd éventuellement, voir si c'est pareil ou pas.

          J'ai testé hier le liveCD KDE de Fedora13.
          Tout se lance jusqu'au bureau, j'ai cliqué sur le menu K et là ... plus rien. Freeze. Seule la souris bouge, mais aucun menu n'apparait, même avec des clics droit sur le bureau.
          Je vais regarder si on peut désactiver tous les effets 3D en passant un argument à Grub au démarrage et refaire le test ce soir. Peut-être le fait que j'ai une Nvidia 6200 et que les drivers nouveau par défaut ne supporte pas la 3D, non ?

                  Bon, j'ai recommencé avec le liveCD, mais en ajoutant single à la ligne de boot de Grub pour éviter de démarrer X et être en init 3.
                  J'ai créé un fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf dans lequel j'ai mis
                  Section ServerFlags
                  Option AIGLX off
                  EndSection

                  Section Extensions
                  Option Composite Disable
                  EndSection


                  et fait un startx. J'ai eu l'écran de démarrage de KDE, les icônes qui apparaissent successivement indiquant le chargement de KDE, puis freeze quand la dernière icône apparait.

                  Reboot, mais cette fois, j'ai juste mis le composite disable dans xorg.conf. Idem: freeze.

                  J'ai repris un vieux fichier xorg.conf, mis le driver vesa, et mis le composite disable. Ca marche: j'ai pu cliquer sur les menus, j'ai ouvert des applications, bref ça roule, mais c'est beaucoup plus lent.

                  Donc j'en déduis qu'il y a un sacré problème avec les drivers nouveau et ma Nvidia 6200. Je vais installer Fedora 13 en attendant avec vesa, tester avec les binaires nvidia histoire de comparer si ça marche, et sinon attendre un correctif et voir pour remonter mes problèmes quelque part.

                    Normalement ça fonctionne pas trop mal.
                    Et chez moi les pilotes binaires nvidia fonctionnent bien. J'avais cela sur une carte intégrée 6100 et c'était pas mal non plus.

                      zut, oublié de tester.
                      Je ferai ce soir, mais ce week-end, la Fedora12 va gicler pour la 13 quoiqu'il arrive, car vesa ne fonctionne pas sur la F12 !! Donc j'ai tout à y gagner.

                      Je posterai j'espère de ma F13 ce week-end, pour dire où j'en suis.

                        Fedora 13 est installée, mais avec les drivers vesa.
                        Pas moyen de mettre nvidia ou nouveau, je ne sais pourquoi.
                        Je pense faire un autre fil sur les forums, pour expliquer les difficultés rencontrées et faire le point d'où j'en suis. Ca pourra peut-être aider d'autres personnes.

      Par défaut, mon Xorg ne contient rien: je l'efface puisque Xorg peut tout re-détecter et s'en reconstruire un.
      J'ai 2 claviers branché à mon PC, un belge(USB) et un français (PS2), et une souris USB. Peut-être qu'il détecte la souris Bluetooth de ma compagne avec trackball, mais j'ai un doute sur ça.
      Donc Xorg se vautre peut être en effet sur ma config. J'ai testé aussi avec un vieux xorg.conf que je sais fonctionner (j'en garde toujours un), mais même problème.

        il te manque sans doute des bibliothèques genre mesa-dri, regarde avec ton gestionnaire de paquet s'il y a des paquets à rajouter en rapport avec nouveau/mesa/dri etc (désolé, je n'utilise pas fedora, je ne peux t'aider plus), de toute façon la version 13 de fedora apporte pas mal de nouveauté à ce sujet donc il y a des chances que cela fonctionne direct avec cette nouvelle version.
