Forum Linux.mandriva bureau plus grand que l'ecran

bonjours a tous
depuis son instalation ma mandriva 2006 m'affiche un bureau bien plus grand que la taille de l'ecran dont la definision n'est modifiable que en 640X480 ou en 800X600 (dans configuration KDE-Periferique-ecran)alors que dans configuration de mon ordinateur-materiel-ecran la j'ai toute les definisions posibles.
Mon ecran est un hitachi CM615 il est quant as luis bloqué sur 640X480 60hrz et n'en change pas meme si l'ont change la definision par les parametres expliqué au debut du post
la carte graphique est une S3 UNICHROME
apres avoir fouillé un peut partout sur le net est sur ce forum j'ai trouver des pistes en modifiant le xorg.conf mais toute ses manipulation sont restés vaine.je vous fait une copie de ce fichier dont je pense que vienne tous mes soucis.

          Y'a une faute dans la directive
          HorizSync 31-70
          D'après la doc (http://www.hitachiserviceeu.com/scripts/userguide.php/CM615E(...) il est indiqué page 10 : HorizSync 30-70
          Peut-être que ça vient de là ?

            je vien de changer le parametre et meme resultat je vous communique le xorg.conf tel qu'il est acctuelement

              histoire de ne pas forcer les tailles et frequences du bureau.

              tu peux aussi ajouter
              Option "DDC"
              pour tenter de forcer l'autodetection.

                aucun changement apres ses modifs mon ecran reste malheureusement sur 640x480 60Hz (dans configuration KDE Périferique Affichage) et aucun autre choix met proposé dans le menu deroulant
                alors que pour configuration ;configuration de mon ordinateur ;materiel;ecran la ma carte graphique (S3 UNICHROME) me propose tous les resolutions posible du 640x480 au 1600x1400 mais quant j'effectue un changement as ce niveau il ne ce passe plus le probleme de taille du bureau plus grand que l'ecran mais il me demande de me reloguer ce que j'effectue et la il reste en 640x480(alors que les parametre de la carte graph indique la resolution que j'ai demander 1024x768)

                pour mettre le bureau en 640x480 ca me semble ideal
                mais je ne penses pas qu'il veuille faire cela.

    Jette-un oeil au fichier de logs: /var/log/Xorg.0.log chez moi. Et cherche des "warning" (WW) ou "Errors" (EE).
