Bonjours tout le monde, j'avais déjà configurer la sorti tv de ma geforce4 (grâce a l'aide des menbres de ce forum!!!) est depuis je n'est plus aucun probléme avec ca mais j'ai récupéré une Matrox Mystique PCI. j'ai donc voulu me metre au tri-ecran (j'avoue que je cherche encor à quoi cela poura bien me servir!!) enfin... j'ai écumé le web mais de site parle ce genre de config. j'ai quand même pus récupéré quelques infos et voila ce que j'ai fait de mon XF86Config :

Je précise que cette configue ne marche pas du tout!!! j'ai éssayé plusieur variante mais rien a faire le systéme ne demare que sur la matrox pci en mode console et le message d'erreur au lancement du serveur graphique me parle d'un probléme de screen not found pour le PCI 1:0:0 je ne pense pas être le premier a avoir cette idée tordu, en tout cas j'éspér que ca interrésera des gens. Mercis d'avance

    mercis d'avoir fait quelques recherches,j'ai halluciné quand j'ai vu les 4écrans 4clavier, 4souris pour un seul ordi mais apparament ils utilisent un noyau spécial expré pour. je pense que pour mettre 3ecran mais selement un clavier et une souris une bonne config de X suffit, enfin j'éspére!

      Tu peut peut etre mettre deux ServerLayout, un avec ta gforce et l'autre avec ta matrox.
      Dans ce cas tu pourrais avoir deux serveur X, un sur chaque ecran. Par contre dans ce cas pas de xinerama.

      Bon j'ai dit que c'était une solution, mais pas que c'etait la plus pratique a utiliser :)
      En fait tes 2 serveur X seront completement indépendant l'un de l'autre.
      Tu auras ton serveur principal de lancé au demarage et il faudrat que tu lance l'autre dans un terminal genre: startx -- -layout layout2 :1
      Le serveur principal sera sur le display 0 et l'autre sur le display 1 (:1)
      Pour passer au display 1 tu fait "Crtl+Alt+F6" et "Crtl+Alt+F5" pour repasser au display 0, la sourie et le clavier suivront automatiquement.

      RQ1: F1 a F4 sont reservé au consols (sans serveur X), essai Crtl+Alt+F1 et tu obtiendras un login prompt, F5 a F12 sont reservé aux serveurs X

      RQ2: Tu peut faire un script qui lancera automatiquement ton second serveur X au démarrage de ton PC. Tu peut aussi créer un racourci clavier pour swicher de l'un a l'autre plus rapidement.

        J'ai essayé ta technique mais c'est pas mieux, le serveur graphique se lance uniquement sur la tv et quand je passe en mode console l'affichage se fait sur la carte pci. je comprend pas qu'il me lance l'affichage sur ma sorti tv et non sur sur l'otre. voici la config que j'ai utilésé, il doit certainement y avoir quelque s choses de pas correcte quelque part!!!

          j'ai modifié les quelque erreur grossièreté qui traîné dans la config si dessus mais ça ne marche toujours pas. Si quelqu'un avait d'autre suggestion a me fér je suis pret a tout tester ;)

              Donc si j'ai bien compris ta matrox (pci) est dans ton layout2. C'est donc celle-ci que tu veut lancer en deuxieme.

              donc questions:
              1) la sortie sur la nvidia fonctionne-t-elle correctement ?
              -> as-tu un serveur X qui se lance au démarage de ton PC
              2) As-tu essayé de n'utiliser que ta matrox (tu enleve la nvidia) ?
              -> en fait c'est pour savoir si ta matrox fonctionne bien toute seul avec la configuration que tu lui a donné.
              3) que donne le fichier /var/log/Xorg.1.log apres avoir lancé ton second serveur X ?

              Je n'en suis pas sur mais j'ai l'impression que c'est la configue de ta matrox qui n'est pas bonne et du coup le serveur X plante.

                Mercis a toi asticot de t'être penché sur mon probléme, je pense aussi que c'est la config de la matrox qui me fait tout planter mais je vais te répondre dans l'ordre :
                1) pas de probléme avec la nvidia, le serveur X demarre sans probléme, par contre tant que la matrox et présente je n'ai plus de partage d'écran, mais si je fait ctrl+alt+F1 la console s'affiche sur l'écran relié a la matrox...
                2)je n'ai pas éssayé de mettre la matrox toute seule, mais c'est une bonne idée car j'ai en effet un doute sur le perf de cette carte (le démarrage se fé sur la matrox est je n'ai pas d'autre chois que de démarer en mode texte alors qu'avec l'autre carte je dois apuyé echap pour avoir droit au mode texte!) je me suis donc dis que cette carte été limité, peut tu me donné la config qui demande le moins pour voir, j'ai éssayé colordepth 8 met c'est pa mieux!!!
                3)pour /Xorg.1.log je renvéré un poste d'ici peu.(1h ou 2)

                Mercis de ton aide je tenvoi dés ke je peu. si déja tu voi d'autre idée avec ca...

                    Bon déja, le fichier de config c'est xorg.conf et non XF86Config, en fait Mandrake 10 et sup utilise xorg et plu XFree comme serveur X.
                    C'est donc ce fichier qui est a changer.
                    Verifie que tu as la meme chose dans xorg.conf et dans XF86Config-4.
                    Pour configurer ta matrox seul (sans la nvidia):
                    1) Fait une sauvegarde du fichier xorg.conf
                    2) redemarre ton PC avec le CD d'install de la mandrake et choisi de faire un update du systeme (y'aura rien a updater mais c'est pour acceder a la config de fin d'install). Attention, si tu as rajouté des sources urpmi elles seront effacer, il faudrat donc les rajouter après.
                    3) configure ta matrox avec l'interface mandrake a la fin du pseudo-update, essai plusieur config différentes et test les (avec le boutton test). Une fois que tu as un serveur X qui fonctionne, tu regarde ce que tu as dans ton fichier xorg.conf et tu repique la config de ta matrox que tu met dans le fichier que tu as sauvegardé.
