En fait, maintenant Qt use et abuse de XRender. C'est sûrement pour ça que des développeurs de trolltech bossent dessus et ont réalisé notamment EXA, qui utilise le matériel pour accélérer render.
Tu peux aussi utiliser l'option "RenderAccel" des drivers nvidia en attendant la stabilisation d'X.org 6.9/7.0 et le support d'EXA dans tous les drivers...
Il me semble qu'un disque, même externe, peut être partitionné : il est donc possible d'y ajouter une partition FAT32 de quelques megas pour mettre le driver ext2, et ça roule non ?
À moins que windows ne gère pas les disques externes partitionnés...
Il faudrait être en mesure de contrôler un site web pour détecter un éventuel menu écrit en Flash. En effet, de tels menus sont une plaie d'un point de vue accessibilité !
Mais comment les détecter ?

Le ./configure puis make et make install doivent être exécutés dans cet ordre et ne pas donner d'erreur, ce qui n'est pas le cas.

Ce que je trouve lourd, c'est la syntaxe du langage. Ce n'est pas spécifique à votre shell (je trouve bash affreux aussi), mais alors si en plus on ajoute une tartine objet dedans... (dans la syntaxe hein, histoire que tu comprennes bien)
Le shell n'a pas à devenir un monstre.
Pour moi le shell est une interface simple.
Si je veux un truc complet, je prends un vrai langage de programmation comme python ! Là au moins j'ai accès à de nombreuses librairies, j'ai un langage clair, j'ai des outils me permettant d'écrire plus rapidement mon script (ipython par exemple)...
Moi j'essaye de te faire comprendre que c'est strictement inutile, ça n'apporte qu'une charge supplémentaire donc on n'a pas besoin : le shell n'est pas fait, selon moi, pour les manipulations d'images, le tri sélectif ou pour faire le café ! Ces opérations sont bien mieux à leur place dans les logiciels qui savent les faire bien.

Les fichiers PDB ont apparemment un lien avec le débuggage dans visual studio.
Donc ça veut dire qu'il a lu le code source d'ext2fsd, et l'a probablement utilisé vu qu'il a lancé un débuggueur dessus.

J'ai utilisé strings sur l'un des fichiers (Nt501_ext2fs.sys), et voici ce que j'ai obtenu comme truc intéressant :

Sinon, as tu déjà vu RMS à l'oeuvre en chair et en os ? Si non, ben quand il se met à danser, ca vaut le détour... Et ca donne à réfléchir sur son état mental ! Et pourtant, il reste considéré comme quelqu'un de clairvoyant aux propos visionnaires, malgré ses gamine^Wexcès.

Tu peux t'amuser a essayer de faire ca en bash/ksh ou autre, ca va te prendre un petit moment et ca sera loin d'etre aussi simple a lire, comprendre et modifier.
Ça risque d'être dur, vu que je vois mal mon pauvre fichier en texte brut avoir un numéro de version...
Avec les xattr ça passe, mais j'aime pas bash de toute façon.
Et pour info en python ça doit être faisable rapidement aussi !
Pour lire du contenu protégé sous un OS alternatif, il faut attendre que ces gentils messieurs aient porté leur soft sous ton OS (tu as déjà essayé de lire un DVD crypté sous Linux, je suppose).

(je cherche une alternative à bash, et perl est automatiquement disqualifié : trop gros)
Je crains qu'il ne soit aussi trop gros pour toi.. C'est sûr, il est plus gros que bash ! Je ne connais pas sa consommation mémoire, mais le paquet debian me dit pour sa consommation disque : 9,5Mo... Mais ça inclue toute la bibliothèque de base hein (cf http://www.python.org/doc/2.4.1/modindex.html(...) pour en voir le contenu)
